Conoce and Ideal match help you meet people near you. They are only for people over 18. These tips help you do it with peace of mind.

The four Conoce rules

Don't pretend to be someone else. Use your real photos and details. Impersonating someone breaks the guidelines.
Take care of yourself. Don't share your address, workplace, documents or bank details until you know the person well.
Take it slow. Chat in the app before meeting. Nobody is obliged to reply, write or meet anyone.
Take the initiative. If something feels wrong, report it and block. You help keep others safe.

Before meeting

Keep the conversation inside MegaPok at first, so you can report if needed.
Have a call or video call in the app before the first meeting.
Be wary of anyone in a hurry to move you off the app, who avoids video calls or tells stories that don't add up.

Never send money

Don't send money, top-ups, gifts or codes to someone you haven't met in person, however convincing the story. Don't share your PIN or the verification codes you receive by WhatsApp, SMS or email. The «thank-you» in Ideal match is a contribution to the platform, not to another person.

The first date

Meet in a busy public place.
Tell someone you trust where you will be, with whom and when you plan to be back.
Get there and back on your own; keep your phone charged.
Watch your drink and your belongings.
You can leave whenever you want. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

What the badge on a profile means

The blue, black or gold badge means the person has a MegaPok plan (Basic, Pro or Gold). It is not an identity check. MegaPok does not verify what people say about themselves or guarantee compatibility or intentions (Terms, section 15).

Report and block

From the person's profile you can report and block them. A person on our team reviews reports. If you are in danger, call your country's emergency number (123 in Colombia). The Emergencies app keeps your area's emergency numbers for offline use.
